Our insider tip: Take a generous hour to stroll through the old town and then go to the Rhine promenade. You can’t miss the Deutsches Eck. You’ll then find the Koblenz cable car along the Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer.

This takes you directly up to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, where you get a fantastic view of the entire spectacle of the Rhine-Moselle estuary.

The nice thing about Koblenz: The most important sights are all within walking distance and can easily be accommodated in one go.
